Application Process for Prospective Research Students

Linguistics and Cultural Studies

Japan-in-Asia Cultural Studies

Starting October 2017

In April 2017, Nagoya University is going to merge the Graduate School of Letters, the Graduate School of Languages and Cultures and the Graduate School of International Development's Department of International Communication to establish a new Graduate School of Humanities.

Definition of research student (non-degree-seeking student)

Undergraduate research student: Those who possess a bachelor's degree and conduct research in a specialized field at an undergraduate department.

Graduate research student: Those who possess a master's degree and conduct research in a specialized field at a graduate school.

 

For those who aspire to apply for a research student, please contact the faculty member with whom you wish to work directly. Detailed instructions for application will be sent to only those who obtained preliminary approval by a prospective academic supervisor. The deadline to obtain preliminary faculty approval in the process of applying for admission to the program is March 30th, 2017.
